Call for Papers

Pertinent dates

• 2nd March – Deadline for abstract submission
• 13th March – Notification if paper is accepted
• 8th May – Submission of paper/power point presentation for publishing in the conference handout

Practitioners of all experience levels are encouraged to submit papers on the wide variety of fields of engineering that are applied to solve mine ventilation challenges.
Particular emphasis should be given to topics relating to this year’s theme “Cost Reduction & Milestones Achievements”.

Areas that are related should include:

• Heat and refrigeration
• Water reticulation systems
• Cost of energy and energy management
• Fires fighting strategy
• Prevention of methane and coal dust explosions
• Dust and other pollutant controls
• Diesel emission control and measurement
• Main and auxiliary fans
• Ventilation planningVentilation in coal mines
• Instrumentation
• Achievement of new MHSC milestones on noise and dust

Presentations will be distributed at the conference in a bound format

Papers that are submitted for publication in the Journal will be peer-reviewed
