The seminar is intended to capacitate new and current leaders in mining. With regulation requiring compliance by mining companies, the transformation agenda and development of managers and supervisors in mining for current and future business needs, becomes crucial. Building capacity of mining leaders for the future world of work is important, and hence the course will offer leaders 21st century mining acumen.
Transformation and career progression within mining often pose challenges. This course will help leaders in mining to better understand and navigate through such challenges through insights from industry experts, allowing for empowerment and taking action for growth. The personal empowerment module seeks to enable mining leaders with information/ tools on mentoring and coaching, networking, emotional intelligence and developing of self-awareness. The course will be interactive with site visits and informative; with insights shared by leading experts Reflective sessions around application into the workplace and lessons learned will be shared. Enhance group and individual work/inputs – communication skills. 21st century mining acumen will also be acquired.
Topics have been carefully designed to support, empower and develop Future Leaders in mining, and makes use of varied methodologies, including stimulating visits, as well as reflection for application back into the workplace.
