Afrox Self-Rescue Division

Afrox Self-Rescue Division (SRD) has designed, manufactured and supplied self-contained self-rescuers and components since 1995. The Afroxpac 35i is the third generation of Afroxpac SCSRs and represents many innovations in the quest for continuous improvement, particularly in hard rock mining environments. Afrox has manufactured over 500 000 SCSRs of which more than 200 000 are Afroxpac 35i devices manufactured since 2012. An estimated 200 000 Afroxpacs are currently in service representing over 1.5 million hours of daily deployment. Afrox SRD is a focussed business unit exclusively responsible for SCSRs. This provides personal attention to customers’ requests for information, order processing and delivery, collection and return of repairs etc.
